My grandpa has the biggest sweet tooth I know. Not only was dessert a necessity in the Grandma & Grandpa Best household, but my grandma routinely had a repurposed Schwann’s ice cream gallon bucket full of cookies stocked on the regular. Her snickerdoodles were absolutely one of my favorite.
Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cup flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 F.
In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Add the eggs.
Add the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
Once completely combined, chill the dough.
After chilled, roll into 1 inch sized balls. Roll each ball in a cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.
